Storing tackle can be a nuisance or one of the fun parts of being an avid angler and keep your collection protected but still on display. One of the harder things to store has definitely been large swimbaits. But I’ve settled on a super handy product called a SPRO SuRPpa Lure Holder. It’s a good a product with a simple and effective design with multiple options to accommodate your big bait collection.

Here is a quick rundown of these quick and easy sleeves for storing and toting swimbaits that I love and think you will too. And I’ll give you a little trick I’ve been doing with mine that you also might find cool.

SIMPLE AND EFFECTIVE DESIGN

The design of the SPRO x SuPRra Lure Holder offers a simple, effective solution. How do you get big swimbaits in your tackle bag, boat or even on your rod in a rod compartment without them getting hung on everything. If you’ve fished big baits, you know those big trebles are like grappling hooks snagging on everything and anything.

The hard plastic shell opens easily with a simple squeeze, allowing you to slide your bait and big trebles in and when you release it clamps down on the bait and hooks, rendering them snag free. Quick and easy. It basically puts your big baits in a hot pocket that you can then throw in another box or bag and go. I love the simple and effective use of it.

THREE DIFFERENT SIZES

There are small, medium and large options to choose from. The small sleeve measures 7 inches by 2 inches and comes 5 to a pack. The medium sleeves measure 9 inches by 3 inches and come 3 to a pack. And the large is a whopping 12 1/2 inches by 3 3/4 inches and also comes 3 to a pack.

This gives you a ton of options. I’ve put 6 inch glides in the small one but I prefer the medium one for most of my glides. Or I will get a the Large and put two glides in it or a big bait like the Deps 250 in it. I’ve used the Medium and Large sizes the most. But the small is handy too for other baits. Throw three jerkbaits in a small sleeve and throw it in your bag and go.

DOUBLE UP IF YOU WANT

I like being able to put two glide baits or swimbaits in the large lure holder. I can have a couple sleeves in my backpack and have 4 good sized glide baits at my fingertips. I also find it’s nice to have 3 large sleeves and 5 medium sleeves in an open container to keep a bunch of glides on hand without taking up a bunch of space. That makes this solution even nicer that it’s streamline and narrow to fit nicely in your other tackle bags and boxes without tangling up on everything.

STORES IN BAGS AND BOXES NICELY

But it really shines in a bag. The fact I can throw some swimbaits in a travel bag and it not take up a ton of room or being overly bulky makes this a go-to solution for me now. I travel to fish a lot and this has made taking glides with me everywhere I go a breeze. I have a couple of F5 Travel swimbait rods and I can fit all of my gear in my suitcase if I want to go on a plane and still be throwing big baits when I get there.

BAND TO THE ROD FOR NO MESS

I also love that it I can take a rubber band and leave my glide bait in the sleeve and band it to my rod handle in my rod locker. Keeping it out of the way of all my conventional gear but always on hand should I see the perfect situation for it while out and about fishing for other things. I think you could probably get a hole punch and punch a small hole in on side and hook it on a hook hanger on a rod if you wanted. I plan to play with that on some in the near future.

The SPRO x SuRPpa Lure Holders make storing big baits so easy and convenient. And for the price, you are getting a heck of a deal to protect your high dollar swimbait collection.
