News is circulating across the Southeast that there is a new Georgia state record blue catfish. It’s an absolute monster, too!
According to the Georgia Department of Natural Resources (GADNR), Tim Trone of Havana, Fla. caught the huge blue catfish on the Chattahoochee River in Stewart County. He was using cut bream as bait and the fish weighed a whopping 110 pounds, 6 ounces. The measurements were just as jaw dropping, with a 58-inch length and a 42-inch girth.
Congratulations on the catch, Tim! That’s a fish of a lifetime and a catch you’ll always remember.
