The name Terry Bolton is synonymous with Kentucky Lake and his kinship with the famed bass fishing destination started with his grandfather building a place on the lake and his father later using that place to nurture Bolton’s love for bass fishing. Bolton’s grandfather bought a parcel of land on the north end of the lake and built a weekend fish camp house to enjoy their off time on the shores of Kentucky Lake. Bolton’s father began carrying Bolton out on the lake before he was even able to get in the boat on his own. And he recalls some of the early memories his father instilled in him that created a life long love with fishing that ultimately led to his long career in professional bass fishing.
Thank you to all the fathers, grandfathers and father figures that carried us to the lake, took their buddies and their sons and daughters fishing and instilled in us a lifelong love of sunrises, pursuit of wild creatures and appreciation for the resources around us. Hopefully we all follow your leads and carry other sons and daughters to the water to enrich their lives the way you enriched ours.
Growing up in fishing definitely can lead to full life and spirit.
