Yamamoto Baits just released 2 1/2-inch Yamatanuki. The Yamatanuki was one of the hot new releases in the US this spring and the 2 1/2-inch Yamatanuki presents a slightly smaller profile than the standard 3 1/2-inch offering that can come in handy in a variety of situations.
“I immediately thought about smallmouth and spotted bass when I saw the 2 1/2-inch Yamatanuki,” said Yamamoto pro Cody Meyer. “It will still be great for largemouth as well, but I think this new size is going to really excel at catching those other species of bass.”
Available in 8 colors, the 2 1/2-inch Yamatanuki weighs 1/4 ounce and allows for countless rigging opportunities. Long requested by Yamamoto pros, the 2 1/2-inch version is designed to be a winner in finesse situations.
“You can fish and rig it the same as the standard 3 1/2-inch offering, but the 2 1/2-inch is going to be an incredible Ned Rig bait for big smallmouth,” said Meyer. “It’s a versatile bait that you can cast, pitch, skip, drop or present just about any way you could imagine. It’s hard to explain just how excited I am about the 2 1/2-inch Yamatanuki.”
