Wired2Fish, the world’s leading freshwater fishing website, has partnered with Wildlife Forever’s Clean Drain Dry Initiative to spread good conservation practices to prevent invasive species. The unique partnership will incorporate televised public service announcements and tip segments while utilizing social media and industry-proven techniques to reach anglers across the globe.
“Invasive species impact what, where and how we fish,” said Todd Hammill, CEO of Wired2Fish. “Changes are inevitable, but if we educate fellow anglers and get our industry to support prevention, our fishing future will be brighter for generations to come.”
“When you’re sick, you go to the doctor. When you want to engage anglers and the worldwide outdoor industry, you go to Wired2Fish,” said Pat Conzemius, Conservation Director for Wildlife Forever. “They have created a very large, dynamic platform for engaging the public through integrated social media, web and television content. Infusing Clean Drain Dry messaging just makes good sense.”
Throughout the coming weeks, Clean Drain Dry will become a key component on the Wired2Fish platform. Angling tips, stories, television and a huge Facebook following of nearly half a million followers will be leveraged to assist anglers on how to become part of the Clean Drain Dry movement.
