Bob Sealy, a beloved figure in Texas fishing, passed away Tuesday night leaving behind a legacy that resonates deeply within the angling community.
Bob had fought a long battle against cancer with strength and courage, however the lord called him home on July 2nd, 2024.
Raised in Texas, Bob’s lifelong passion for fishing led him to become a pioneer in the sport. He founded the Texas Outdoors Writers Association, organizing renowned tournaments and advocating tirelessly for conservation.
Bob was more than a fisherman, he was a mentor and educator, sharing his expertise through seminars and fishing reports, inspiring countless anglers. His enthusiasm and knowledge made him a respected figure on and off the water.
His passing leaves a profound void in the Texas fishing world, but his legacy of passion, community spirit, and conservation advocacy will live on, ensuring he is remembered as a true legend of Texas fishing.
