We have some very sad news to report this afternoon. Professional angler Glenn Browne has passed away following a long and hard-fought battle with cancer. His loving wife, Melissa, shared the heartbreaking news today on social media. He was just 43 years old.
This will undoubtedly be difficult on the many friends Browne had in the fishing industry. He was extremely well-liked by his peers and always a pleasure to work with. We worked with him several times on video and photo shoots and he was such a kind soul, hard worker and great teacher. Here is the last instructional video we shot with him.
Browne has long been known as one of the best grass anglers in the country. He cut his teeth dominating Florida-area tournaments and could pitch and flip matted grass better than just about anyone. He had FLW earnings of over $1 million and was a six-time Forrest Wood Cup qualifier.
The Wired2fish staff extends our heartfelt prayers to Glenn’s loved ones. Not only will he be remembered as one of the best bass anglers of our time, but also as a good and courageous man.
