We just ran across this post on Facebook and it’s certainly worth sharing. We sincerely hope that someone who sees this will come forward with information.
According to an article by Jonathan Grass of AL.com, Lt. Ray Terry of the Sheffield, Ala. Police Department in Alabama heard some strange noise coming from his garage around 12:30am on April 6. He got out of bed to investigate and noticed big flames. Both his boat and truck were on fire.
It was quickly determined an arson case due to a derogatory message towards police officers scratched on the hood of the severely damaged truck. A person of interest has been identified, but there are no arrests yet.
The incident has rattled Lt. Terry.
“When you come home, that’s a place of privacy and security for everybody,†Terry said. “For a police officer, it’s where you can let your guard down. You don’t have to be looking over your shoulder. It’s unnerving but I try to find something positive to come out of it. I don’t know what that’s going to be, but I hope to find a silver lining.â€
