We talked to Douglas McClung part of the of the winning LSU Bass Fishing team that won the Bassmaster College Classic. They just came off the stage after winning and he posed with the new trophy. The LSU team won handedly on their home turf.
For McClung, this is truly his home turf, as he’s fished the Louisiana Delta his entire life. He is from Gramercy La. and cut his teeth fishing on Lake Verret. He helped his buddies on the LSU team and his partner Travis with the typical patterns for the fishery this time of year.
Today the McClung and partner flipped tubes and a black, blue and orange CJ Bass Custom Lures and some on a spinnerbait too. The other members of their team found a frog bite, as well as flipping and spinnerbaits.
The team is already looking forward to defending the title in Shreveport next year!
