Brian Latimer and Mark Daniels Jr. teamed up to win Gold at the 2019 Pan American Bass Fishing Championship with a massive two session weight of 45.08 pounds. They were the top team in the event followed by silver medalists Scott and Roland Martin. Jacob Wheeler and Dustin Connell took the Bronze medal.
The overall nations medal went to the host country of Canada and came down to less than an ounce with the USA Bass team taking the silver medal and Mexico taking bronze.
Latimer and Daniels Jr made their move after a solid first session and caught the top bag of the second session to secure the Pan Am pairs title.
“We are really excited about the results of this event” says USA Bass President Tony Forte. “It just proves that there great anglers all over the world and fishing transcends nationality, race and gender. Fishing is truly a universal sport and we are excited about its growth. We really want to see young anglers get out there and fish. If you are good enough you could fish for your country one day. It won’t be long until you see the world’s best anglers on the Olympic podium.”
