Legendary fishing line company, Stren, and fishing icon Shaw Grigsby have entered into an agreement that will have Grigsby fishing Stren line throughout the 2010 BASS Elite Series. Effective May 7, 2010, Grigsby sits in 25th place in Angler of the Year point’s race.
“This is a great opportunity to add a fishing legend to the Stren prostaff,†said Chris Derrick, Stren Brand Manager. “It is great to add Shaw back into the fold here at Stren. Shaw is a great role model for young anglers and is a great spokesman for the fishing industry. Stren looks forward to partnering with Shaw to develop more innovative lines from Stren.â€
The Gainesville, Fla., native has been a staple on the pro circuits, amassing well over $1 million in career in earnings and eight 1st place finishes while fishing professionally. Grigsby has appeared in the Bassmaster Classic 12 times and has also finished in the money 150 times during his illustrious career.
