Conley Bottom Resort is a popular destination on Lake Cumberland in Central Kentucky, especially for bass fishermen. A lot of tournaments have been held over the years at this resort and marina and our thoughts and prayers are with them today as the recover from an overnight fire.
According to multiple reports, the fire is believed to have started in the restaurant and spread to the store and an adjacent houseboat that the resort uses and docks. No private boats or rental boats were damaged in the fire according to Conley Bottom Resort who issued this statement via their Facebook page this morning:
“As you most have seen, we have experienced a devastating fire at the main dock this morning. Despite the news media and channels we didn’t lose any private boats nor any rental boats. We will post more at a later time. Prayers are appreciated at this time. Our God is sufficient … even for this!
“Despite our loss, we are anticipating doing all rentals for the weekend.
“If you have any LODGING reservations (or know someone who does) please text or call the following numbers with your name, phone number, and rental date and type of unit ASAP.
