One of our readers, Luke Weichman, sent us this article from engadget.com. The basic gist of the article is that a company is trying to develop a device that you can drop overboard that connects to your smartphone and gives you a depth finder reading of what is under the boat. It’s an interesting concept but probably not one we’d use much. The idea of finding fish on a little phone screen as compared to big 10-inch screens doesn’t appeal to us at all, especially when you factor the hours we spend hunting fish with our electronics.
