The courts dismissed claims from the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission that there were systemic discrimination policies and practices within the culture of Bass Pro Shops. This goes back to the EEOC’s filing back in September.
The claim basically stemmed from reports of a few employees at different locations making racist or derogatory remarks and claims that employees were fired for reporting such remarks. The EEOC claimed their were systemic discrimination problems within the entire organization yet apparently failed to produce a single plaintiff. They tried to make a blanket claim based on a smattering of isolated incidents.
