COLUMBIA, S.C. — As previously shared, two boats were involved in an incident on Thursday of last week, resulting in injuries, during the practice round for the Bassmaster College Series event on Lake Murray. On Friday, two of the three anglers who were hospitalized were released.
Authorities have since confirmed the death of Western Kentucky angler Johnathan Brian.
“We are all heartbroken to learn the news of Johnathan’s tragic death,” said B.A.S.S. CEO Chase Anderson.
B.A.S.S. will continue to support the ongoing investigation into the incident.
