Premium rod maker Denali Rods has announced the signing of BASS Elite Series angler Dennis Tietje, of Roanoke, LA to their National Pro-Staff. Tietje first qualified for BASS’ top tour in 2010 on the strength of a 12th place finish in the Central open points.
According to Tietje, it was a friend that clued him in to Denali’s quality rods.
“I’ve got a buddy in a tournament organization that I work with that is a mutual friend of Denali national sales manager, Bryan Head. Ironically, at the same time I was looking into approaching Bryan, he was asking my friend whether I’d have any interest in coming on the staff.”
Though he hasn’t had the full complement of rods for very long, Tietje has been working pretty hard on the water dialing them in and has a couple of initial impressions.
“The thing I’m most blown away with is the Denali rods comfort and minimal weight. I think those factors; along with sensitivity are the most important features of a rod, and I’m looking forward to a long relationship with Denali.”
Denali president Scott Estes is also excited to have Dennis join the staff.
“We have been looking to expand our tour level staff for a while, and Dennis has a lot of the qualities we’re looking for in an angler. He’s an enthusiastic and hard-working angler, and we look forward to partnering in a way that will help us grow together.”
