Well the 2015 Toyota Texas Bass Classic will be a memorable one for sure. Not just for the 64 pounds Jason Christie has already amassed in two days of fishing with 10 bass, but also for the persistent and often heavy rains that have plagued the event this year, forcing organizers to close the venue on days two and three to the public for safety reasons. The tournament and weigh-in are continuing on day three but there will be no crowds any more for this event. Record rains and flooding in Texas have washed out any hopes of putting on a big final day show.
The top 10 anglers compete for the crown on the final day, Monday, May 25, 2015. On this Memorial Day, one of these anglers will have definitely proven their mettle in this event. Here are the top-10 anglers who made the final cut. While 14 pounds seems like a big gap between first and 10th, that’s just two fish on this lake and anything can happen on a fishery like that. Likewise, Christie could do the unthinkable by landing a 36-pound bag and weigh-in 100 pounds for 3 days of fishing. He’s already landed a 37-pound limit on day one.
