My rod is a 7-foot, medium-heavy, fast-action model and a great all-arounder for a wide range of techniques. The Duckett Pro series rods were designed in collaboration with Major League Fishing pro Kelly Jordan and come in a wide range of sizes and actions, sure to fit whatever anyone and any bass fishing application.

Applications
I like this particular rod best for throwing a wide variety of bottom baits. It has a really sensitive blank and the smaller guides and minimalist reel seat gives it an extremely solid feel. Having a sensitive blank is essential for this style of fishing, and I’ve been more than impressed with the blanks used in the Duckett Pro Series line.
I found that this rod is excellent for throwing casting jigs, Texas rigs, and spinnerbaits. You can really throw anything on this style of rod, but these are the techniques I feel it’s best suited for. All three require a sensitive blank that’s also lightweight and agile, and the Duckett Pro Series line has all that in spades.

After several months fishing this rod, my favorite feature has to be the Sensi-Touch blank. The blanks for these rods are built using X-Helical coil technology and two layers of carbon fiber scrim for added durability. This creates a super-tough rod that can hold up, season after season. It also creates a super responsive feel, perfect for heavy line and big tackle.
Lastly, I really like the guides that Duckett uses on these rods; they’re proprietary Kigan Artus high-gauge 316 stainless steel ring lock guides with hyper lite braid-proof inserts. These slightly smaller guides create a low profile look while providing consistent, smooth casting.
I definitely feel the guides have increased my casting distance both with braid and fluorocarbon. Furthermore, my rods don’t get tangled as badly thanks to these low profile guides. Their only con is that your leader knot is prone to getting caught in the eyelet, especially if you don’t tie an FG knot.
