Here’s is a quick tip to help you save a lot of headache and money on crappie jigs when fishing around deep brush piles. This is part of our series on freeing snagged lures. This trick works on bass fishing skirted jigs and worms that get hung up in deep brush as well. It’s not a fool proof system but for a few cents you can make some “knockers” that can slide down the line and often jar your jig free with a couple of shakes and pops of the line.
