Pro bass angler Justin Lucas leaves no details unchecked when it comes to his tournament boat and equipment. He takes us on a complete walk-through of his Phoenix 921 XP. In doing so, we get a good sense of what goes into pro-level, combat loaded bass boats in terms of electronics and gear.
Justin starts his tour at the bow with an overview of sonar/fish finder technologies and boat control tools. He then opens every compartment along the way to the console to give us a detailed look at how he uses available storage to his advantage. Lucas then covers the cockpit fish finder configuration and storage areas before transitioning to the aft deck. He finishes on the transom with a look at the hydraulic motor lift and shallow water anchor setup.
A lot of gear and $$$ to be sure, but provides a good sense of what goes into hardcore enthusiast or professional bass boat setups. Follow Justin on social for a look at his new ride and overall setup (@justinlucasbass).
Here’s a detailed look at how Justin uses his fish finders and trolling motor to quickly breakdown water and stay on fish. Check out our Boats and Maintenance channel for more boat-related content.
