While in Minnesota this past week, I had the opportunity to fish out of the new Lund 1875 Impact with walleye pros Scott and Marty Glorvigen. I have always been a fiberglass bass boat guy, but this aluminum multi-species boat affords anglers the ability to cast and troll equally well while providing the roominess and comfort  necessary for big water or a family outing.

I was impressed with the tightness of the ride as well, and the fit, finish and attention to detail  of this boat was well thought out. We had the opportunity to fish in some pretty heavy wind and heavy vegetation, and the Minn Kota Fortrex pulled the deep V along without any issue. We fished some areas where the water was less than 2 feet deep, and we glided right through tules, coontail and skunk weed with no problem.

The Lund 1875 Impact was equipped with a Mercury 150 HP 4-Stroke engine that was not only quiet but had plenty of power to push us along at more than 50 mph, even in rough conditions. To see more about this boat, visit lundboats.com.
